Remembering The Day That Changed Our Lives

The Alan Jackson song, “Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning” (available below for you to listen to) asks that very question. I was getting a hair cut. When I left and got into my car, I turned on the radio, something I don’t often do, and there was a lot of chatter. Nothing made sense for quite awhile, as nothing made sense to anybody for quite awhile.

After a few minutes, I realized what was going on but I didn’t know what caused it. I rushed home and turned on the television. Beginning that day, my life was changed forever.

Voters were promised during the last presidential campaign by Barack Obama that he would mend fences and bring the world back together in a rousing rendition of Kumbaya! After all, he told us that it was George Bush’s fault that terrorists didn’t like us and the rest of the world hated us. So how’s that working out?

Not so good, I would have to say. The latest in what seems to be a continual dismantling of any and all foreign relations is our long time friends across the pond in the United Kingdom. We are hearing that the Lockerbie terrorist found guilty of the killing of innocents over Scotland, was released back to Libya in exchange for a lucrative oil deal between Great Britain and Libya. Barack Hussein Obama, who now openly embraces his Islamic heritage, declares that the United States of America is one of the largest Muslim countries in the world. This after it was forbidden that we speak his middle name during his campaign; this after he told the world the United States is not a Christian nation; this after candidate John McCain was criticized heavily for calling the United States a Christian nation; this after Obama refuses to acknowledge that two American soldiers were gunned down at a military recruiting station but was quick to acknowledge the shooting death of a doctor who regularly performed late-term abortions; this after Obama has nationalized the auto industry; this after Obama has left my children and grandchildren trillions of dollars in debt; this after playing hardball and trying to strong arm our longtime friends and allies in Israel in favor of the terrorist Palestinians and Hamas; this after refusing to acknowledge any attacks on U.S. soil by extremist Muslims; this after declaring that Iran has the right to build nukes; this after doing absolutely nothing about activities in North Korea; this after telling the world all our interrogation methods.

The list is endless and this has all taken place within the first four months of his presidency. Wake up America. Our nation has been hijacked by a person now proud to be a Muslim. What should we expect next in his bag of hopenchange tricks?

Obama Says There’s A More Effective Way To Interrogate Prisoners

In President Barack Obama’s comments recently about Guantanamo prisoners, he made the following statement:
“I know some have argued that brutal methods like water-boarding were necessary to keep us safe. I could not disagree more. As Commander-in-Chief, I see the intelligence, I bear responsibility for keeping this country safe, and I reject the assertion that these are the most effective means of interrogation.”

An intelligent individual can only assume that if someone says that waterboarding, the end results as claimed by former Vice President Dick Cheney that warded off other attacks and potentially saved hundreds of thousands of lives, is not the most effective way, then what is? Read more

Will Israel Be Left To Go It Alone?

While U.S. President Barack Obama seemingly drags his feet in crafting a Middle East policy that directly involves Israel, Iran and the Palestinians, signs are pointing to the real possibility that newly elected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli people will be mostly toughing things out on their own.

Yesterday, Netanyahu met for the first time face to face with Barack Obama. The prime minister made it clear that he was willing to begin negotiations for peace with the Palestinians as soon as they were willing to acknowledge and honor Israel’s right to exist.
