65 House Dems Oppose AG Holder On Assault Weapons Ban

March 31, 2009

Eric Holder, U.S. Attorney General appointed by Barack Obama, has repeated himself often since assuming his job, that there were “just a few changes” that needed to take place regarding gun control issues. We’re beginning to see what those “few changes” will be.

Holder, attempting to hide behind a drug war on the U.S./Mexico border, as a reason to reinstate the old assault weapons ban, or create a new one, thinks people will jump off this cliff like all the others and go along with him. According to Brad Wilmouth, Newsbusters, 65 House democrats have signed a letter to Holder saying they would actively oppose an effort to reinstate an assault weapons ban. Read more

Environmentalism Will Put Us “Peons” In The Poor House

March 18, 2009

It seems all I’ve done today is read about everything that we once said could never happen in America, happening! God, I hope it ends soon.

I’m not going to elaborate on this article, only to say it is worth the read, if you have an open mind. It’s another, “It will never happen in America” moment but it is reality – the direction our country is headed.

AG Holder: “A Few Gun Related Changes We’d Like To Make”

February 26, 2009

What took the Obama administration so long to begin announcing their plans, one gun at a time if necessary, to steal our Second Amendment rights? As this administration works to strip away more rights than any other president in history, it comes as no surprise that Attorney General Eric Holder announced that President Obama plans to reinstate an assault weapons ban.

Here’s the second grade, asinine, lame excuse Holder gave for wanting to assault our Second Amendment rights. Read more

Black Leader Lauds Bush Commutation of Border Agents’ Sentences

January 20, 2009

Washington, D.C. – Mychal Massie, the chairman of the Project 21 black leadership network, is praising the decision made today by outgoing President George W. Bush to commute the sentences of jailed Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.

Under the terms of the commutation order, made by President Bush on his last full day in office, the imprisoned law enforcement officers will be released on March 20. Ramos and Compean were sentenced to 11 and 12 years, respectively. Much of their time since entering prison in January of 2007 has been spent in solitary confinement. Read more

Black Leader Condemns Bush for Not Pardoning or Commuting Sentences of Jailed Border Agents During Pre-Thanksgiving Round of Executive Clemency

November 25, 2008

Washington, D.C. – Project 21 Chairman Mychal Massie is condemning President Bush’s inaction regarding incarcerated Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean and is reiterating his call for a pardon or commutation of the agents’ sentences before the President leaves office in January.

Massie’s call comes as the White House has announced that President George W. Bush granted pre-Thanksgiving pardons to individuals involved in the distribution of drugs and bank embezzlement and commuted the sentences of two men given harsh mandatory sentences related to cocaine trafficking. Black Churches to Participate in Day of Prayer for Jailed Border Patrol Agents

May 9, 2008

Washington, D.C. – Project 21, the black leadership network, has recruited the support of black churches across the United States to participate in a special day of prayer declared by a member of Congress to call attention to the plight of incarcerated U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean.

“To many Americans, the radical beliefs and comments of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright have come to falsely personify the Christian church – and particularly those with black congregations. We hope this show of support for the law and good government will help undo the damage he has wrought,” said Project 21 Chairman Mychal Massie. “This is a call upon our God to do what only He can in the absence of any action by President Bush. Christians have long bridged the divide between God and the absence of responsible leadership, and it is only fitting that once again the Church is undertaking to do that which officials will not.” Read more

The Simple Solution to Illegal Immigration

May 16, 2006

John Hawkins from the Right Wing News blog asks a bunch of questions that nobody seems to want to address concerning illegal immigration in America. Here are his questions.

Consider these questions….

– If a guest worker/amnesty program is really worth doing, why does it have to be coupled with border enforcement, which almost everyone at least claims to support, in order to get passed? If it really represents what the majority of Americans want, as the pro-illegal crowd likes to claim, why can’t an “earned legalization”/guest worker bill stand on its own merits?

– According to some estimates, the Senate bill will increase the number of legal immigrants coming into the United States by 400-1000 percent per year. Why do we need to so dramatically increase the number of legal citizens coming into the United States?

– If we actually add a staggering and completely unprecedented 100 million plus legal immigrants to the United States over the next twenty years, which is something the Senate bill currently appears to do, what makes us think that we’ll be able to assimilate them all? What makes us think that we’ll be able to change them instead of their changing us?

– How can it be said that the illegals currently in the United States are truly going to the, “back of the line,” if they’re being allowed to stay here while they wait to be made citizens?

– If illegal aliens are rewarded for breaking our laws, aren’t we just encouraging even more people to break the law in hopes of getting in on the next amnesty?

– If we don’t have the will to punish the illegals who are already here, why should anyone believe that we’re going to have the will to punish illegals in the future, particularly since we’ve already had a “one-time” amnesty back in 1986? Moreover, wouldn’t the politicians be even less willing to deport illegals in the future if we allow the 12 million illegals that are already here (along with their extended families) to become citizens?

– The Senate plan hands out amnesty to illegals based on how long they’ve been in the US. But, we’re talking about people who snuck into the country, they use fake documentation, and we don’t even have a reliable way to know their real names. So, how in the world can we really verify how long these illegal aliens have been in the US?

– Almost everyone acknowledges that the majority of illegal immigrants are coming here to get jobs. So, if we seriously crack down on employers of illegals (which is something the President claims he wants to do), why wouldn’t the majority of illegals self-deport after the jobs dry up?

– Even if we do a guest worker program, wouldn’t it make much more sense to have it made up of people who respect our laws and didn’t come to this country illegally? Wouldn’t that reward foreigners who have respected our laws and take them seriously?

– George Bush has been a do-nothing President on border security for his entire tenure, even though after 9/11, he knew leaving the border unguarded entailed huge security risks. So, why should anyone take him at his word now when he says he will secure the border and increase enforcement?

And I have the simple solution! It would involve no National Guard troops, no crack down on businesses who hire illegals, no amnesty, it, in my opinion, is the answer to the entire debacle and we just might be ready for this solution.

Ready? A national ID card or some kind of permanent mark or something of that sort that all of us must have in order to work, buy and sell.

If you think about it, it really would solve all the problems. Scary!

I Hope The Pols Get Just What They Deserve

April 27, 2006

While the out of touch, selfish, all about me, ignorant morons we call politicians are trying to figure out a way to win over a few million potential Mexican voters by next November, the vast majority of voters in this country wouldn’t vote for any of them.

They are so far out to lunch, they haven’t a clue as to what the masses of people in this country, including the legal migrants, want when it comes to dealing with our borders and illegal immigration.

There is not nor has there ever been a democracy in this world that survived by giving away everything that created it in the beginning. The secular progressives in this country are so bent on being so politically corrent with everything, with no boundaries, no laws, no rules, no discipline. This massive protesting and tap dancing of our elected idiots, marks the beginning of the end.

I know of no lawmaker, no matter their party affiliation that should remain in office. The changes needed are so massive that the only thing that would change it now is civil war. I’m not advocating it but take a look around and tell me how this can be done.

We no longer have an official language, we legally can murder babies and adults simply because we don’t want them anymore, we can’t worship the way we would like without fear of offending someone, our citizenry can mock Christianity through movies, cartoons, blasphemy and pornography, no one has to work for anything anymore, the pride is gone, no respect exists anywhere in America, idiots come here because we’ve created a free ride for them and are now demanding “equal rights”, nothing is earned and to top it all off, we now have a Spanish version of the National Anthem.

This is what we have created. We’ve sat by and watched it happen with more important things to do, like make money. Now live with it!
