Picture this if you will. One day you sit down to your computer and log onto your favorite website. That of course would be the Black Bear Blog. There you find a story about 300 scientists who have gathered in Chicago to discuss the prospects of global cooling, update everyone on the fallout from Climategate and provide the best available science about our changing climate. In the middle of your reading, this annoying bubble keeps popping up trying to tell you that if you go over to the website Climate Debate Daily, you’ll get an opposing view.

So that you know, the administrator of the Black Bear Blog did not provide that service for you. That would be compliments of Cass Sunstein and his dictator Barack Obama. This is just one idea these intellectuals have for us ignoramuses because we just aren’t smart enough to figure out right from wrong or what our interests are.

You may even think that it’s a good idea to have such a feature on all websites. From my own perspective, if the Internet Marketplace demands that this be the trend, then more than likely I would keep up with the demands of my readers and give them what they want. Government should have no business telling me or anyone else that I must provide a link to a website with an opposing view.

I heard this being discussed on the radio yesterday and someone asked if this sort of opposing view enforcement would be carried out to involve everyone and everything? In other words, when the president is giving his State of the Union Address, will there be a script rolling across the bottom of the screen informing viewers where they can go or who they can listen to that has an opposing view?

I remember when I began making a few waves about Internet regulation, etc., I was told that this would never happen in America. I was fear mongering. Well, it hasn’t happened yet but there sure are a lot of people in high places that want to see it happen.

As I have repeatedly warned and noted on www.ObamaChart.com, when Congress blocks the Obama administration, the White House always finds a way to get around the normal policy-making process and pursue its agenda by other means. Today’s reclassification assault on the Internet is the latest-and perhaps the most egregious-example.

In its effort to imposing crippling net neutrality regulations on the Internet-an idea with very little support from the American public or Congress-the Obama administration first turned to the FCC simply to pretend Congress has given it authority to regulate. <<<Read the Rest>>>

But liberty comes with responsibility, the restraint of exploiting our rights over those of others.

Our own Declaration of Independence tells us the truth of liberty is self-evident. In the struggle for independence, these brave people, as penned by Thomas Jefferson, understood that under the tyranny of King George III, some people were created more equal than others and that any liberties were those granted by the King. This stood in stark contrast to the written Word of God.

Jefferson wrote that “We hold these truths to be self-evident“, those truths being as I’ve described above, “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

What is all too often lost in the recitation of the above, most common phrase from the Declaration of Independence, is Jefferson’s explanation of how to protect these rights. He further goes on to write that, “Governments are instituted among Men, driving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” He says that when any government “becomes destructive” of these rights, it’s the right of the people to fix it, even to the point of installing a new government, such as was the intent of seeking independence from England.

When our society progresses away from God and good sound morals, the entire foundation of the Declaration and Constitution, gets shaken, can crumble and fall down. And therein lies the ultimate destruction of individual Liberty.

God has blessed us with some of the most incredible beauty that can be found in the outdoors. I was raised in the country and find much peace and happiness in going to the woods, however the only lasting peace and happiness comes from within, that which is occupied by the love of God.

As much as I love to hunt and fish and just be in the outdoors, that Liberty does not trump another man’s Creator-endowed right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. My understanding of rights, shows me to respect the rights of others as much as my own.

I read somewhere a person’s “signature” they used on a message board. It went something like this: “The biggest threat to the outdoor sportsman is the outdoor sportsman”. It was quite ironic, as I recall, that the person using this signature seemed bent on being the dictator of which rights shall be bestowed on his fellow sportsmen, while chastising anyone who dared question his authority.

As the title of this piece reads, liberty is not this man’s or any other man’s to give or to take. To assume such authority it must be assumed that this person consider himself either above the power of the Creator or that they’ve “progressed” to a point that God is no longer or never was any part of their life. Quite unfortunate for them and the rest of us, I’d say.

It is a most arduous burden for some to tolerate the “Life, Liberty and pursuit of Happiness” of others and perhaps that task remains insurmountable without individual direction from God. Instead of illustrating the exact meaning of self-evident, Creator-endowed Rights in our behavior, we too often choose to dictate which liberties can be exercised.

Let me explain. Some fishermen believe that employing the use of “catch and release” in their favorite pastime, is a good way to preserve and conserve the species for the present into the future. I take no issue with that. If we “illustrate the exact meaning of self-evident, Creator-endowed Rights”, this fisherman who believes in his notion that such a practice is best, should exercise his rights and promote his epiphany in every positive way he can and support it with as much scientific facts as there are available.

When we “choose to dictate which liberties”, it takes on a very different tone. We can never accomplish what is right through negative behavior. Instead of the positive promotion of catch-and-release fishing, the tyrant rather opts to demonize those who choose to catch, keep and eat the fish they caught, even to the point of fighting for laws to prohibit such activity.

If catch-and-release fishing is the answer to all our conservation concerns, then it will stand firmly on its own merits. Dictating rights, steals from others and tells the rest of us that this person knows nothing of which they speak and are only interested in usurping others’ rights.

But it’s not just fishing. This general negative, dictatorial, rights-snatching behavior carries over into every aspect of our lives.

It is troubling to me that the President of a country, whose Declaration of Independence clearly states that it is self-evident, that our Rights are granted by our Creator, proclaims to the world that the United States of America is NOT a Christian nation. Taking God and the Liberty he endowed us all with, out of our lives, our society and our government, is a dangerous direction we should not travel.

I do not have the right to determine who gets rights and who doesn’t. As a matter of fact no man on this earth has that right, although they have taken it. I may not like what someone with opposing views has to say but it is far from me to try to shut them up.

Exercise you God-given Liberties and revel in them. Taking others away does nothing to protect yours and will eventually end yours.

This morning I thought I found another. The email was titled, “Assistance Living Tax Slipped In”. I read it and laughed because nothing could be so absurd that American workers and taxpayers would be asked to cough up anywhere from $150 to $250 a month from their regular paychecks to pay for home health care that wouldn’t take effect for at least five years to perhaps ten and you may never need it but perhaps someone else will. Ridiculous!

But at the bottom of the email are two links that supposedly verify this to be true. An editorial in the Washington Times by the staff dated April 1, 2010 seems to verify this information, well, at least according to them. The editorial is called, “Robbing Peter to Pay Paul“.

One costly provision buried in the lengthy reconciliation bill at the last minute has taxpayers covering long-term at-home care for the elderly. Through the so-called Community Living Assistance Services and Support Act (CLASS Act), Americans will find between $150 and $250 taken out of their paychecks each month to cover this program nobody knew about.

There was a reason why the slimy politicians created this portion of the bill to not really show up as a giant unaffordable tax foisted on Americans is because Congress instructed the Congressional Budget Office to only look at the impact of Obamacare for the first 10 years.

The CBO is instructed only to consider the fiscal impact over the next 10 years, but the way the scheme is set up, people must pay the additional taxes for at least five years to become eligible. So for the first five years we only see revenue. After that, the taxpayers are eligible only gradually. They must then become old enough to require home health care, so expenditures will occur in the distant future. In other words, we see taxes with no expenditures upfront, but huge expenditures picking up after the CBO’s 10-year evaluation window passes.

Can you afford to have another $150-$250 dollars a month stolen out of your paycheck? And these lying, vermin bastards are now running around telling Americans that we should be thankful that Obama gave us all a tax cut. Did you hear the full-of-himself dictator yesterday telling his hand selected crowd of zombies that Tea Party protesters should be thanking him for cutting their taxes? Brazen deceit!

In addition to the Washington Times editorial, WBT, News Talk 1110 AM, interviews Senior Editorial Writer for the Washington Times, John Lott, about “Robbing Peter to Pay Paul”.

According to John Lott, this added tax of $150-$250 PER PERSON, will be levied on everybody who works. It is a payroll tax deduction. For the 47% of Americans who don’t pay a nickel in income tax, you will now. How does this sit with you and your family? How’s Barack Obama’s lying, cheating hope and change washing down your parched throat now?

And let’s not dump all the blame on Obama. I’m sure he never read the bill either, nor did he give a rolling donut hole what was in it. The pond scum-sucking leaches in Congress voted for it. If there was just one damned reason why every son of a bitch in Washington should be fired, this is it.

You and I can take the blame for voting these lame excuses for life and noxious human beings into office, but there has to be a complete overhaul. Thomas Jefferson reminded us many times that there are times when revolution is necessary.

If you’re not enraged over this irresponsible act of tyranny, not just by the President but by all of Congress, then by God I’m beginning to think nothing will put you over the edge.

I don’t know about you but I’m mad as hell. I can’t pay this amount of money each month. I have friends and family who can’t afford this.

This morning I heard a newscaster invoke the analogy of the frog and boiling water. If you place a frog in boiling water, he will immediately jump out. Place the same frog in cool water and slowly bring the water to a boil and the frog will remain in the water and boil to death.

So, what are we frogs going to do about it?

But again, this is only part of the problem. The other is that with one more social program meted out by government authority equates to another long list of lost liberties and the imposition of requirements forced on us as unwilling participants.

Here is one example, of which I’m guessing the vast majority of Americans had no idea was contained in Obamacare. Are you aware that Obamacare now requires restaurants to post calorie counts on their menus? You are not capable of making Government’s choices of what they want you to eat. This is only the beginning.

You see, when Government controls the money, they also believe they now have the authority to control everything that is directly or indirectly attached to the allotment of such money. This is one of the biggest reasons, I believe, Americans do not want Government-run health care. Government will decide everything for you. Where’s the choice? Where’s my liberty? Where’s my America?

But you don’t have a choice in this matter. That’s the entire essence of Obamacare. You will participate in Obamacare and you will like it…..or else!

Thomas Sowell says that politics and politicians are “Playing Freedom Cheap“.

If eternal vigilance is the price of freedom, incessant distractions are the way that politicians take away our freedoms, in order to enhance their own power and longevity in office. Dire alarms and heady crusades are among the many distractions of our attention from the ever increasing ways that government finds to take away more of our money and more of our freedom.

Look back over the past year and honestly ask yourself how much of what this current administration, along with most all of Congress, has done to rush legislation, to quickly get things passed because there is no time. Recall also how many times this call to haste was followed by vacations and/or days of inaction.

If these power aspirants can stir up fear and trembling among the masses, cloudy thinking people become willing to give up things they normally wouldn’t do under rational thinking processes. Isn’t this what the freedom deniers are ultimately trying to do?

Alarms ranging from “overpopulation” to “global warming” and crusades ranging from “affordable housing” to “universal health care” have been among the distractions of political magicians. But few distractions have had such a long and impressive political track record as getting people to resent and, if necessary, hate other people.

Look around you. Ask yourself if you have encountered others who have made hate filled comments to you or shown obvious resentment? And then take a look at yourself. Do you have hatred toward other people? Do you resent what they have or what they do? If so, why? Is it because you have become a victim to this divisive wickedness perpetuated by the same domination aspirants whose aim is self gratification at the expense of God’s granted freedom?

Sowell is right. We can become distracted by a laundry list of emotionally charged agendas being crammed down our throats but the most successful methods to divide and conquer a society is to bolster distrust and hatred among the people.

This doesn’t mean we should all abandon our morals and personal convictions or turn our backs on our beliefs. It means we need to recognize who or what perpetuates the hatred and not succumb to it and then go about selling others what’s important through truth and respect.

Other restrictions include a ban on the sale or purchase of any type of firearm, ammunition, explosive or any possession of such items off a person’s own premises.

I guess they thought they were doing everyone a favor ALLOWING them to possess a gun on their own property. Uh, uh, uh! This cannot be allowed.
