Black Conservatives Comment on the Needs of the Nation Prior to Obama’s State of the Union Address
January 25, 2011
Washington, D.C. – Black conservatives with the Project 21 leadership network have low expectations regarding the State of the Union Address.
While Project 21 members see a nation looking for reassurance that the government is acting in its best interest and focusing on the key issues of economic stability and job creation, they do not expect more than rhetoric from President Obama.
“When the polite applause and the partisan demonstrations of loyalty cease in the wake of tonight’s address, will we have seen anything more than the same campaign-style rhetoric we have come to expect from this president? I don’t think so,” said Project 21 Chairman Mychal Massie. Read more

Project 21 Members to Speak at Major Tea Party Rallies Sunday
September 10, 2010
Washington, D.C. – In a weekend filled with tea party rallies nationwide, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are designated speakers at the major rallies on both coasts and right in the middle of America.
“Dissent was considered patriotic when the progressives were out of power, and the political reality they have wrought on America since then proves that dissent is needed now more than ever,” said Project 21 Fellow Deneen Borelli. “The tea parties are a genuine, diverse and patriotic effort to restore the fundamental principles of limited government and virtue that made our nation great and can make it great once again. Those who sling mud are desperately trying to cling to power.” Read more

Knee-Jerk Criticism From Civil Rights Lobby Hurts Race Relations

Washington, D.C. – Black activists with the Project 21 leadership network support the right of talk show host Glenn Beck to hold his “Restoring Honor” rally at the Lincoln Memorial on August 28, 2010. Black Conservative Response to State of the Union Address
January 28, 2010
Washington, DC: In the aftermath of President Barack Obama’s first State of the Union Address, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are commenting on his presentation tonight and his performance during his first year in office:
Bishop Council Nedd II: “After virtually walking away from the gay community after the election, President Obama is all of a sudden taking up their cause again? Last week’s election shows he has problems with Americans of all political stripes, but he appears to be focusing most intently on quelling the civil war rising against him in the left-wing of his party. One would think that — as his approach to national security is being questioning in the wake of the underwear bomber and his dithering on Afghanistan — that he would think of some other military-related issue to champion than one that could fracture his 2008 base even further. Individual Generosity in Haiti Earthquake Relief Efforts Praised by Black Conservatives
January 19, 2010
Washington, DC: As people honor the values and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., members of the Project 21 black leadership network are also taking this time to commend the American people for their quick and generous acts of charity after last week’s devastating earthquake in Haiti.
Deneen Borelli (Project 21 Fellow): “As we remember Dr. King, it is heartwarming to see how the American people have come together to help those in need. As they always do, average Americans of all races, classes and backgrounds opened their wallets and asked what they could do to help long before even the government could respond. Faith-based organizations n which have always been a great help n are picking up the slack where established relief groups and the government are already overwhelmed. Without a political goal in mind, the American people joined as one to offer hope. That is something to be proud of on this holiday.” Read more
United Nations Kicks Non-Profits Out of COP-15 Climate Conference
December 14, 2009
Washington D.C.: The United Nations announced today it is permanently banning thousands of accredited non-governmental organizations* from the COP-15 climate conference in Copenhagen.
The restriction was announced today outside the Copenhagen conference center after several thousand accredited NGO conference delegates, including three from the National Center for Public Policy Research, waited outside for eight hours or longer in 32-degree F temperatures for admission.
NGOs apparently are being banned because the United Nations accredited 45,000 people for a building with a capacity of 15,000, although the stated reason was “security concerns.” The “security concerns” may be related to the fact that, after waiting several hours in the cold, delegations began to chant, “Let us in! Let us in!” Read more
What Really Went On When Obama Went To Bozeman?
August 21, 2009
Below is a letter sent out to friends by people who actually attended the Obama town hall meeting at the Belgrade Airport in a remote area outside the city of Bozeman, Montana. This information never made it to the press, partly because the press was shielded from even being able to see the thuggery and intimidation.
~~~~~~~
Hello All,
By now you have probably heard that President Obama came to Montana last Friday. However, there are many things that the major news has not covered. I feel that since Bill and I live here and we were at the airport on Friday I should share some facts with you. Whatever you decide to do with the information is up to you. If you chose to share this email with others I do ask that you DELETE my email address before you forward this on.
On Wednesday, August 5th it was announced locally that the President would be coming here. There are many groups here that are against his healthcare and huge spending so those groups began talking and deciding on what they were going to do. The White House would not release ANY details other than the date. Read more
