Remember when President Obama announced that now he was going to restore science to its rightful place? That was one of those comments that nobody has any idea exactly what it meant but by golly it sure sounded good. Granted, in this particular reference, he was referring to action being taken on the Endangered Species Act, but most feel it was also a message to Americans that it also implied all scientific aspects of his administration.

Evidently we are getting a taste of what Obama meant. Back when he made the statement, I asked whose science was he planning to restore? Maybe he is planning to restore the science, if that’s what you want to call it, of his newly appointed “Science Czar”, John Holdren.

For those who might not know anything about Holdren, he is a former professor of environmental study at Harvard. He also suggests that forced sterilization through adding things to our drinking water or food supply would be a good thing, or that requiring all babies born illegitimately be forced into adoption. Put him together with Obama’s pick to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, a man who believes animals should have a right to sue, and we’ve got the makings of a dynamic duo.

Holdren’s science, I guess, must be science that Obama agrees with. And if that’s not enough, then let’s require all women to take a sterilizing implant and only be allowed to have babies when the government approves.

Pretty far fetched isn’t it. And some of you probably think that believing this is as weird and far out as Glenn Beck. What’s troubling though is that when people talk of Obama being a radical, it is all too often denied. But what is to be said about a man who surrounds himself with these kinds of people? Do not birds of a feather flock together or is just certain species of birds?

It’s equally troubling that a president is picking all these so-called czars. They are unelected, appointed by the president and answer only to the president, yet he gives them all kinds of power. They are exempt from the control of Congress or we the people.

It would be my guess that Obama’s idea of “restoring science to its rightful place” is on the same par with “hope and change”. It all sounds really swell boys and girls but in truth, none of us have any idea what he’s talking about until we begin to do a bit of digging to find out more about a man and who he selects to surround himself with and get advice from.

I don’t know about you, but I find that quite scary.

Barack Hussein Obama, who now openly embraces his Islamic heritage, declares that the United States of America is one of the largest Muslim countries in the world. This after it was forbidden that we speak his middle name during his campaign; this after he told the world the United States is not a Christian nation; this after candidate John McCain was criticized heavily for calling the United States a Christian nation; this after Obama refuses to acknowledge that two American soldiers were gunned down at a military recruiting station but was quick to acknowledge the shooting death of a doctor who regularly performed late-term abortions; this after Obama has nationalized the auto industry; this after Obama has left my children and grandchildren trillions of dollars in debt; this after playing hardball and trying to strong arm our longtime friends and allies in Israel in favor of the terrorist Palestinians and Hamas; this after refusing to acknowledge any attacks on U.S. soil by extremist Muslims; this after declaring that Iran has the right to build nukes; this after doing absolutely nothing about activities in North Korea; this after telling the world all our interrogation methods.

The list is endless and this has all taken place within the first four months of his presidency. Wake up America. Our nation has been hijacked by a person now proud to be a Muslim. What should we expect next in his bag of hopenchange tricks?

In Massachusetts three women, supported by abortion rights groups, have successfully sued Wal-Mart for not selling the “morning after pill” in their 44 Wal-Mart and 4 Sam’s Club stores throughout the state. Wal-Mart sells the morning after pill in only Illinois because the government there has forced them to do so. Wal-Mart officials would not comment but did say they would adhere to the ruling of the courts.

The abortion rights groups say they intend to sue to force Wal-Mart to sell the drug in all its stores nationwide. In Massachusetts, CVS and all other major drug stores sell the pill, yet abortion rights groups want to force private business to sell the pill. Wal-Mart did say there are many products they refuse to sell in their stores for business reasons but they would not elaborate.

It appears there is no stopping this movement of radical left-wing abortion rights groups until they have succeeded in making the murder of any unwanted human being legal and commonplace in our society.

Aside from the issue of abortion rights, government should not have the authority to tell any private business what they have and have not got to sell in there stores. Where is the outrage? Why aren’t people fighting back?

As a business owner you can’t pay your employees what you wish, your benefits packages are now being mandated by government, you don’t have the choice of allowing smoking or not, soon you won’t be able to sell certain kinds of foods that are deemed unhealthy, and now government is forcing retailers to sell items a business may not want to sell. It is their right as a business owner to do that. I am appalled! This list of government mandates and intrusions continues to grow daily. Where will it end?
