Can Snowe And Collins Make Good Judgement Calls On Character?

July 29, 2010

What is one to think? Anyone who spends 5 minutes researching the background of Solicitor General, Elena Kagan, Barack Obama’s nomination for the U.S. Supreme Court, can discover that Elena Kagan is not a person of good character. Forget for the moment about political ideals and whether she does or does not emulate the ideals of Barack Obama or that she may not even be well qualified for the job. The woman has been involved in unlawful and unethical practices that cast a very dark shadow on her character and yet both Maine Senators, Snowe and Collins, refer to Kagan as a woman of “integrity”. Lobbying for Increased Government Spending Puts GE on a Collision Course with Tea Party as House Panel Approves $450 Million Earmark for General Electric’s Jet Engine

Left Admits: Racism Charges Against Tea Parties a Tactic, Not a Truth

July 29, 2010

Washington, D.C. – Members of the Project 21 black leadership group are condemning the left’s false use of the accusation “racist” as a political tactic, saying they recognize the strategy from the teaching of left-wing organizer Saul Alinsky.

Former U.S. Commission on Civil Rights Chairman Mary Frances Berry, a long-time prominent liberal activist, has admitted in an interview with Politico that the left is trying to smear the tea party movement as “racist” for strategic reasons, not out of genuine concern that the movement is itself racist.

Berry called the tactic an “effective strategy” and chose not to denounce it. Read more

Shirley Sherrod Owes Andrew Breitbart an Apology

July 28, 2010

Statement of Amy Ridenour National Center for Public Policy Research

Washington, D.C. – The following is a statement by Amy Ridenour, president of the National Center for Public Policy Research:

Shirley Sherrod falsely said Andrew Breitbart would “like to get us stuck back in the times of slavery. That’s where I think he’d like to see all black people end up again.” Then Sherrod said Breitbart is a racist, called Breitbart “vicious,” and then said Breitbart’s alleged racism is why he’s allegedly “so vicious against a black president.” Read more

Black Conservatives Condemn Twisted Logic, Racial Garbage of Statements by Charles Sherrod

July 28, 2010

Black Conservatives Condemn “Twisted Logic,” “Racial Garbage” of Statements by Charles Sherrod, Husband of Fired U.S. Department of Agriculture Employee Shirley Sherrod

Washington, D.C. – In the wake of the Obama Administration’s controversial firing of Shirley Sherrod at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a new video — available in it’s entirety — is casting her husband, Charles, as someone harboring radical racialist sentiments.

Deneen Borelli, a Project 21 fellow and Fox News Channel contributor, said: “Professor Sherrod’s racist comments add another chapter to the ongoing debate about racism in America. Sherrod’s use of color-coded politics has no place in today’s society and it’s especially disappointing that his twisted logic was communicated at an educational institution.” Read more

N.Y. Times’ Demagoguery And Dearth Of Scientific Intelligence And Wolves

July 23, 2010

The New York Times is a sinking ship. They are each day taking one more step toward bankruptcy and yet remained so embroiled in failure, one has to wonder if there is any hope for them. Or do any of us care? One of the reasons people just don’t want to read their bile is because of the ignorant crap they publish. It is one thing to lie or as they say these days, to “spin” the truth, it is quite another to print material that is obviously nothing more than unconfirmed political demagoguery and propaganda. NAACP Pledges to Condemn Attacks on Black Conservative

July 23, 2010

Washington, D.C. – Project 21 Fellow Deneen Borelli received a pledge from an NAACP senior vice president that the NAACP will issue a statement repudiating racist statements made against her because she is an outspoken black conservative.

On the July 17 edition of “Geraldo At Large” on the Fox News Channel, Borelli appeared on a panel discussion about race and politics with NAACP senior vice president Hilary Shelton.

During the discussion, Borelli asked Shelton if the NAACP would issue a statement condemning those who expose her to race-based abuse because she is an outspoken black female with views. Read more

NAACP Executive Caught on Tape Lying About Tea Party Attendance

July 16, 2010

If the NAACP Will Lie About This, What Else Might Its Leadership Be Lying About?

Washington, D.C. – In appearances on the Fox News Channel this week, NAACP executive Hilary Shelton claimed he attended a major tea party event despite having said three days before that he had not attended a tea party, was “afraid” to go to a tea party rally and had only watched media reports about them. Republicans In Senate Investigating Kagan And Harvard Law School Plagiarism Scandal

July 15, 2010

On Monday I introduced readers to a story from Harvard Law School (alerted to me by a reader) about a scandal involving renowned Harvard professors and associates concerning ghostwriting and plagiarism. Supreme Court nominee, Elena Kagan, was dean of the Harvard Law School during much of the time these unethical practices were taking place. It appears Kagan’s role became that of the master whitewasher to cover up the story. One could even perceive it as protecting a “friend”. Read more

Chicago Enacts Restrictive Gun Ordinance In Wake Of McDonald v. Chicago

July 14, 2010

McDonald v. Chicago ruled that the Fourteenth Amendment incorporates the Second Amendment and as such defines that states, counties and local municipalities must guarantee individuals their right to self protection and be allowed to own a gun(s). The ruling also makes it clear that states, counties and local municipalities cannot create gun laws that supersede federal laws……or can they?

The city of Chicago threw together a gun ordinance after McDonald v. Chicago, which is nothing more than an in-your-face scoffing of the United States Supreme Court, much the same way that Washington, D.C. did after District of Columbia v. Heller. Why wouldn’t Chicago do similar things? D.C. has not really been tested as to the Constitutionality of their restrictive gun laws. After all, District of Columbia v. Heller only ruled that the District’s gun ban was unconstitutional. It did not define what can and cannot be used for gun restrictions. Read more

Black Leader Requests Obama Call for Black Panther Special Prosecutor — Again

July 13, 2010

Washington, D.C. – After seven months of silence, and with controversy growing by the day, the chairman of the Project 21 black leadership network sent President Barack Obama a second certified letter asking for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate the Justice Department’s questionable handling of its voter intimidation case against members of the New Black Panther Party.

Mychal Massie wrote a letter to President Obama on December 4, 2009 asking for a special prosecutor that continues to remain unanswered. In his second certified letter to President Obama, dated July 8, 2010, Project 21 Chairman Mychal Massie wrote: “During the time that I have not been dignified with a reply, the problem has festered to a point where perceptions of racial bias within your Justice Department cannot be ignored.” Read more

Black Activists Condemn NAACP Resolution Against Tea Party Movement

July 13, 2010

Washington, D.C. – As the NAACP plans to use its group’s prestige to bash the tea party movement, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are urging delegates at the NAACP’s national convention not to turn the NAACP into a pawn for progressive political bosses.

“As a frequent speaker at tea party rallies around the country, I can assure the NAACP that the tea party movement’s concerns are about President Obama’s policies and not his race,” said Project 21 fellow Deneen Borelli. “I’m deeply concerned that the NAACP is being used as a political tool to do the dirty work of the progressive movement. Instead of criticizing tea parties, the NAACP would be better served denouncing the racist comments made by a member of the New Black Panther Party and their voter intimidation outside a Philadelphia polling place in the last presidential election.” Read more
