Peace Through Strength Is Not Pandering To Gadhafi

August 28, 2009

I was just reading Michelle Malkin’s syndicated piece this morning and in her article she points out something that bears a closer look. Her article addresses the path that President Obama has taken this country in, appeasing terrorists and terrorism supporters. At issue is allowing Libyan President Moammar Gadhafi entry into this country in order that he can address the United Nations. This is what Malkin said about Gadhafi: Read more

Sophomoric Emotionalism Rules The Day In Washington

August 28, 2009

For decades, since I have walked this planet and been old enough to even care about what a distrustful politician had to say, I have heard repeatedly, “The voting public isn’t stupid!”, or something to that effect, fully suspecting that it was sincere. For a few years now I have had my own doubts about whether these disjointed politicians were right or wrong. Comparatively, the American public isn’t stupid, or at least as stupid as the politicians. I am now, however, 100% convinced Washington politicians and bureaucrats are completely out of touch, as is the media who adore them.

I have written that I suspected that Barack Hussein Obama was elected President of the United States, not for what he stood for, not for his political ambitions, not because of what he could or couldn’t do for this country or in what direction he wanted to take us, but simply because those voting wanted to some day be able to say, “Hey, I voted for the first black United States president!”. Enviro-Statism

August 27, 2009

If you’ve not read Mark Levin’s new book, “Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto” you really must.

Page 114 begins a chapter called, “On Enviro-Statism”. This is how it begins:

Science, broadly defined, is a door to knowledge. Although the Statist is found of accusing the Conservative of slamming the door shut, it is actually the Statist who abandons science – just as he abandons the laws of nature, reason, experience, economics, and modernity – when he promotes what can best be characterized as enviro-statism. His pursuit, after all, is power, not truth. With the assistance of a pliant or sympathetic media, the Statist uses junk science, misrepresentations, and fearmongoring to promote public health and environmental scares, because he realizes that in a true, widespread health emergency, the public expects the government to act aggressively to address the crisis, despite traditional limitations on governmental authority. Montana’s Firearms Freedom Act Battle Against Obama’s Power Grab

August 25, 2009

Many conservative Americans and those who still understand and cherish the United States Constitution as the glue that keeps our nation free, cheered at the signing of the Montana Firearms Freedom Act, an act signed by Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer and set to take effect on October 1, 2009. The Act essentially declares that any guns or certain parts manufactured in Montana and remain in Montana are not subject to the strong arm of the federal government. It’s an ambitious battle that could have sweeping consequences for Americans and derail the Statists’ progressive, manipulative, incrementalism aimed at total control over free citizens of this country.

Much of the basis for formulating this act has been the attempted revival of the 10th Amendment. Read more

“Mayors Against Illegal Guns”: Is Your Mayor A Member?

August 23, 2009

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg dislikes guns and has no problem with trampling on your rights to keep and bear arms in his quest to ban them. Don’t be fooled by the title of his cute little organization, “Mayors Against Illegal Guns”. All of us would like to stop guns from getting into the hands of those who legally cannot have them but not at the expense of stripping innocent and lawful people of their rights. That evidently doesn’t bother Mayor Bloomberg or the hundreds of other mayors across this country who have joined his little club.

One problem Bloomberg is facing is that as more mayors discover the real agenda behind Mayors Against Illegal Guns, they are bailing out of the club.

Is your mayor on this list? Why not contact them and request that they cancel membership and get involved in something more productive and not be part of a group not interested in your rights.

Gun Groups To Sue Over Montana-Made And Retained Firearms

August 22, 2009

MISSOULA, MT – the Montana Shooting Sports Association (MSSA) and the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) have formed a strategic alliance to litigate the principles of the Montana Firearms Freedom Act (MFFA), passed by the 2009 Montana Legislature and signed into law by Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer.

The MFFA declares that any firearms made and retained in Montana are not subject to any federal authority, resisting Congress’s dramatically expanded use of the interstate commerce clause to justify Washington’s regulation of virtually all of the private economy. The MFFA also applies to firearm accessories and ammunition. Read more

What Really Went On When Obama Went To Bozeman?

August 21, 2009

Below is a letter sent out to friends by people who actually attended the Obama town hall meeting at the Belgrade Airport in a remote area outside the city of Bozeman, Montana. This information never made it to the press, partly because the press was shielded from even being able to see the thuggery and intimidation.

~~~~~~~
Hello All,
By now you have probably heard that President Obama came to Montana last Friday. However, there are many things that the major news has not covered. I feel that since Bill and I live here and we were at the airport on Friday I should share some facts with you. Whatever you decide to do with the information is up to you. If you chose to share this email with others I do ask that you DELETE my email address before you forward this on.
On Wednesday, August 5th it was announced locally that the President would be coming here. There are many groups here that are against his healthcare and huge spending so those groups began talking and deciding on what they were going to do. The White House would not release ANY details other than the date. Read more
“Animal Crackers” And ESA Power Mongers
August 20, 2009
Pound the drum slowly but loudly and then perhaps with the help of a few more people, like Sean Paige, The American Contrarian, we can let a few more people know that the Endangered Species Act is no longer about protecting endangered species. It’s about power grabbing and property rights destruction.
The Endangered Species Act to most Americans is just a law they’ve heard about, which might even give them a warm and fuzzy tickle deep inside. To many Westerners it’s synonymous with tyranny — an all-powerful presence that licenses the federal government to trample property rights, destroy jobs, obstruct energy development and restrict access to supposedly “public” lands, all to “protect” a subsegment of a subspecies that some graduate student says is rare.
