Sunstein Nomination Put On Hold Again

July 23, 2009

Cass Sunstein, a man who has written openly that he believes animals should have a right to sue and supports bans on agriculture and hunting, will have to wait longer to see if he will become President Obama’s “Regulatory Czar”. From Fox News:

President Obama’s nominee for “regulatory czar” has hit a new snag in his Senate confirmation process — a “hold” by Texas Sen. John Cornyn, who’s says he’s not convinced that Harvard professor Cass Sunstein won’t push a radical animal rights agenda, including new restrictions on agriculture and even hunting.

Sunstein’s nomination process will be no different than any of the others and it will mirror that of the man who appointed him. His past tells us many things about him, his ideals, beliefs and efforts to promote personal and political agendas. When questioning time arrives, answers to specific questions are given in bold lies. It is swallowed hook, line and sinker and the appointment is secured. Once in position, they resort back to what we know of their past, yet we gullible Americans somehow think a liar is not a liar.

Sen. Saxby Chambliss of Georgia had put a hold on Sunstein’s appointment but recently lifted it citing the following:

Chambliss said he was dropping his hold because Sunstein had convinced him that he “would not take any steps to promote litigation on behalf of animals,” and that he believes the “Second Amendment creates an individual right to possess guns for purposes of both hunting and self defense.”

That could just as easily have been worded that the two made secret deals and promises behind closed doors.

Same old story, simply a new player!
