When You Want “Settled Science” Simply Ban Opposing Views

June 30, 2009

Intelligent people have known for some time that the whole notion of global warming being caused by man-made carbon dioxide is a farce, embedded in politics and driven by greed and the desire to capitalize on a faux crisis to make gobs of money. To justify the actions of those involved, including former Vice President Al Gore, they have for some time declared that anthropogenic global warming is settled science.

I never knew there was ever anything called settled science, as I see it as a dangerous and ignorant approach to anything. Suppose where we would be if scientists worldwide had settled on the initial science presented to them without offering any kind of challenge. Read more

Black Activists Praise Supreme Court’s Affirmative Action Decision

Justices’ Ruling Throws Sotomayor Nomination into Serious Question

With the U.S. Supreme Court dealing a stinging blow to race-based employment practices, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are praising the Ricci v. DeStefano decision as a step toward removing the racial trappings of a by-gone era and putting all Americans on equal footing.

“It was clear to this Court that barring people from promotion because of the color of their skin is wrong. The only downside is that four justices still cling to an outmoded and discriminatory line of thought,” said Project 21 chairman Mychal Massie. “True equality allows people to rise and fall on their merits. That’s what this decision protects. How can one oppose such fairness?” Read more

Project 21 Critical of Members of Congress Under Ethics Investigation for Retaliating Against House Ethics Office and for Playing ‘Race Card’

June 29, 2009

An apparent effort by the Congressional Black Caucus to deter ethics investigations of its membership is drawing sharp criticism from members of the black leadership group Project 21.

CBC members reportedly are considering changes to the law authorizing the House Office of Congressional Ethics, or OCE, in retaliation for the OCE referring allegations against several CBC members to the House Ethics Committee.

CBC members reportedly also have complained that the OCE does not have enough minority staffers, adding a racial element to the apparent retaliation.

“What does the racial or ethnic makeup of the Office of Congressional Ethics have to do with the fact that these members of the Congressional Black Caucus may have violated ethics laws? It has absolutely no bearing on the charge, and to claim that is a lack of diversity at the OCE is playing the race card plain and simple,” said Project 21 member Joe Hicks, also a commentator for Pajamas Television. “It is laughable that CBC members are charging the OCE with some sort of racial targeting. The OCE was created by Speaker Pelosi, someone who shamelessly bends over backwards to be politically correct.” Read more

Crap And Invade

June 27, 2009

As the Marxist government of Barack Hussein Obama continues its march to destroy America – you know, the one he said was the greatest in the world and then invited others to help him change it? – we are once again witness to an out-of-control, completely ignorant and incompetent Congress who passed a House bill worth a cool $4 trillion. The bill was a thousand pages and not one idiot in Washington read it. Nor do they really care, I guess. And either you approve of this kind of business or you will do something about it at the polls.

I’ll call the bill, crap and invade, as it is all crap based on crap, spread like crap and it even tastes like crap. I’ll call it invade because it is an invasion into my freedoms of being an American. I am going to be forced into paying ungodly amounts of money to fund a corrupt program, based on theories concocted by non-scientists. This kind of government strong arm tactics does nothing except rob me of my liberty to be free and prosper. Read more

76% of African-Americans Want Delay on Climate Legislation Until Economy Recovers, Just-Released Nationwide Poll of Black Community Finds

June 27, 2009

76% of African-Americans want Congress to make economic recovery, not climate change, its top priority, says a newly-released nationwide poll of African-Americans conducted by the National Center for Public Policy Research.

The poll’s release comes as the U.S. House of Representatives is planning a Friday vote on the Waxman-Markey cap-and-trade climate bill. The legislation, if adopted, is expected to reduce aggregate GDP by $7.4 trillion in an effort to reduce global warming.

The survey of 800 African-Americans, 80% of which were self-identified Democrats and 4% self-identified Republicans, found significant concern that government action on climate change would have a harmful and disproportionately negative impact on the African-American community. Read more

38% Believe Resulting Job Losses Would Fall Heaviest on Blacks

The National Center for Public Policy Research bases this conclusion on the results of a nationwide poll it commissioned of African-Americans. The poll, released today, suggests anxiety in the black community over Waxman-Markey-style regulations. Read more

The Great Digital Television Conversion Consumer Heist

June 15, 2009

This may go down in history as one of the biggest con jobs swallowed hook, line and sinker by your United States Congress and fed to an unsuspecting public. The Digital Television conversion transition has lived up to my billing as being a scam, backed by sheer ignorance and blatant lying. And as is usually the case, the taxpaying citizens get the shaft and are left to pay the bill. This is just one more reason to oust every last politician in Washington, never to see such stupidity and crooked thievery again.

Just about one year ago, I told you that the DTV conversion and transition was a joke and a lie. I have listened to talk radio hosts rail about how people should just buy the converter box and stop being so cheap. I’ve read commentary about what a great thing this is and also those who didn’t think the taxpayers should be picking up the tab for all those converter boxes, etc., but nobody would tell the truth that soon millions of viewers would be left without television reception. Caterpillar CEO Commits to Pro-Cap-and-Trade Lobbying Course While Admitting Risk to USA and His Own Corporation; Says Stockholders Who Object Can Just Sell Their Stock

June 11, 2009

Should We Sell Our Stock in America, Too, Mr. Owens?

Caterpillar CEO James Owens admitted Wednesday at his company’s annual stockholder meeting that the carbon caps his company supports could hurt the U.S., U.S. heavy industry and Caterpillar itself.

Owens made the admission in response to questioning by Tom Borelli, director of the National Center for Public Policy Research’s Free Enterprise Project, who attended the meeting on behalf of the Free Enterprise Action Fund.

Owens told Borelli and stockholders that the U.S. and Caterpillar will be harmed if carbon caps are adopted by the U.S. but not adopted by the rest of the world. Read more
