Obama Picks Sotomayor As Souter Replacement On U.S. Supreme Court

Some speculated it would be this week that President Obama would make his selection of U.S. Supreme Court justice to replace retiring Justice Souter. Many feared it would be Sonia Sotomayor, a federal appeals court judge who has been recorded as openly and laughingly saying that judges create laws from the benches they serve from.
