Guantanamo: A Living Hell?

April 30, 2009

For some absurd reason, President Obama decided to make public documents that showed the world the techniques we used to assist in extracting information from terrorist prisoners at Guantanamo. According to our new president, we have been commanded to stop calling these murderers, terrorists. It’s not good for our image and relationships.

So what exactly did we do at Guantanamo that was so torturous? Did we cut off fingers? Did we use electric drills and begin boring through prisoners skulls until they couldn’t stand it anymore? What about shock treatment or battery acid in the eyes? Read more

Let’s Not Call It Swine Flu. What Will The Pigs Think?

April 29, 2009

Seriously though, Janet Napolitano and other officials want the name “swine” taken out of the name for the recent viral infection threatening to send the world into pandemic pandemonium. Evidently it’s not the pigs directly that the Obama administration fears offending, although I’m sure it has been discussed, it is the dangers that might result to the pork industry.

I have just one question and I’m going to attempt to keep it clean. If Obama is so concerned about hurting the pork industry, why are we allowed to call pointless spending pork? Certainly people must be repulsed by the use of the word pork to describe Congress. I mean, can you imagine being associated with politicians? Ewwwwww! Gross! Remember this past campaign season? How many times did Obama put lipstick on a pig? So insensitive! I bet he got no votes from the pork industry. Read more

The Economy is Shrinking at Worse Pace Than Expected

April 29, 2009

AP is reporting that the economy is shrinking at a pace far worse than originally thought by economists. All this amidst the biggest drop in U.S. exports in 40 years. As reports came out in April of a loosening recession, the Commerce Department’s report released today dashed all those hopes. In fact, the economy ended up performing nearly as bad as it did in the final quarter of 2008, contracting at a 6.3 percent pace. Read more

Black Activists Ask U.S. Supreme Court to Invalidate Outdated Section of Voting Rights Act

April 29, 2009

Washington DC – As the U.S. Supreme Court hears arguments today in the voting rights case Northwest Austin Municipal Utility District Number One v. Holder, the Project 21 black leadership network is joining with other organizations to ask that this outdated portion of the Voting Rights Act be found unconstitutional.

“The racist boogeyman of the past is just that — a thing of the past,” said Project 21 Chairman Mychal Massie. “I think most people realize this, but the civil rights special interest lobby has been strong enough to keep this boogeyman alive to the legal detriment of our post-racial society. As we try to move forward, our children will continue to bear the burden of long-rectified mistakes.” Read more

Sowell: Obama “Welshes On His Commitments”

April 28, 2009

Thomas Sowell takes President Barack Obama to task over his pandering to “mushy notions among the elite”, as well as “the shibboleths of political correctness”. Barack Obama has done more in 100 days in office to destroy centuries of foreign diplomacy, all from positions of strength by pandering to idiots like Hugo Chavez, bowing to Saudi heads of state and stabbing a knife in the backs of every veteran of the United States Armed Services by releasing terrorist prisoners so they can go kill more Americans. When Kids Are Allowed To Play With Toys

April 27, 2009

Is there any intelligence at all in the White House or on Obama’s staff? What little gray matter is there rattling around in the heads of those now running this country………..into the ground? Children are what they are. All of them. Just children allowed to take the wheel of a very large machine with not the slightest idea of what they are doing.

According to Allahpundit at Hot Air, White House Military Office director Louis Caldera, gave the kids keys to a look-alike Air Force One, 747-looking jet and a F-16 jet and told them to go downtown N.Y. and get some photographs so he could add them alongside the ones he has of Obama bowing down to Saudi leaders, among others. Wake Up America!!

April 27, 2009

America has made another giant step toward its end. There once was a time when debate was civil, intelligent, full of polite discourse, while presenting only facts. Now, not only is any debate mostly uncivilized, ignorant, rude and full of lies, we have finally come to a point where we believe it is proper to censor debate, to quell the free speech of those who disagree with the ruling party.

On Friday of last week, Al Gore was called to Congress as a “celebrity” witness to discuss global warming and cap and trade. This was accomplished by the ruling democrat party. The Republicans countered that they too would present their own “celebrity” witness, it appears the dems balked when they discovered it was Lord Christopher Monckton, a former science adviser to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Monckton opposes the idea that any global warming or cooling is caused by man and has sought to debate Al Gore one on one before, to no avail.

Apparently, when Monckton’s plane landed in the U.S. on Thursday, it was then that he was informed there would be no debate or testimony in Congress, supposedly out of fear of embarrassing the former V.P.

So, why the fear of bringing in opposing scientific viewpoints? Surely Monckton is as big a “scientist” and expert on global warming as Al Gore! Have we finally gotten to the point where the ruling party is so emboldened by their power, they no longer fear tyrannical censorship in order to fulfill political agendas?

And I know someone will have the question so before it gets asked, let me go ahead and answer it. Yes, it doesn’t matter which party is in control of the White House or either House of Congress. When debate is stifled or, as in this case, outright censored, it is wrong. It’s what’s been wrong with Al Gore’s argument and presentation once he reached a point he began trying to convince the world that there was no need to debate the issue. In his mind, the science was settled.

Wake up America!

Call to Action Against General Electric

April 27, 2009

The Free Enterprise Project today is announcing a call to action against General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt for engaging in business activities that threaten liberty. In the spirit of the Tea Party rallies, we are urging liberty-minded individuals to join us by signing our petition to Immelt.

Corruption, corporatism, lobbying and media bias are issues that came to light from an audio recording of GE’s annual shareholder meeting by Tom Borelli, Ph.D, shareholder activist and director of The Free Enterprise Project. The recording generated nationwide headlines by exposing shareholder outrage.

The Ousting of American CEO’s

April 25, 2009

Just a few weeks ago GM’s CEO, Rick Wagoner, was forced out of his job by government. He seems to be the first major casualty of government intervention by the Obama Administration. GM stocks plummeted 89% off it’s yearly high causing shareholders to cut and run. There seems to be a nice show going on where the government is appearing to be helping GM and replacing the CEO is a last-ditch effort to save the world and get the car industry back on track. But what seems to be apparent from my point of view is not a last-ditch effort to save the world but a last-ditch effort for government to own the car industry. Read more

N. Korea A Nuclear Power. Pakistani Taliban Within 60 Miles Of Nukes

April 24, 2009

nuclear blastThe balance of power is shifting in the world causing some of us to wonder about the future. We should also begin to question whether our insistence on living in denial about the intent of radical Islamists’ goal of destroying the Big and Little Satans (United States and Israel) has left us unprepared to deal with the rise of world hatred toward the West.

It seems that no longer are we questioning whether North Korea has nuclear weapons. It is becoming common enough that it is now assumed that North Korea is armed and we aren’t questioning if they will use the weapons but when. Read more
