Black Leader Speaks Against the Radical Underpinnings of Obama’s Bailout Agenda
March 31, 2009
Washington, D.C. – President Barack Obama has now laid the groundwork for sweeping government intervention in the free market with his announcement of new government requirements for its continued support for struggling American automakers.
Mychal Massie, the chairman of the Project 21 black leadership network, had this to say about Obama’s announcement:
I am not aware of any part of the U.S. Constitution in which the government is given the right to dispense taxpayer money to private institutions and then use that ability to hire, fire and make other major decisions for that business. But I am aware of Saul Alinsky’s infamous rules for radicals. So is the President, having been a disciple of Alinsky’s teachings since his days as a community organizer. Read more
65 House Dems Oppose AG Holder On Assault Weapons Ban
March 31, 2009
Eric Holder, U.S. Attorney General appointed by Barack Obama, has repeated himself often since assuming his job, that there were “just a few changes” that needed to take place regarding gun control issues. We’re beginning to see what those “few changes” will be.
Holder, attempting to hide behind a drug war on the U.S./Mexico border, as a reason to reinstate the old assault weapons ban, or create a new one, thinks people will jump off this cliff like all the others and go along with him. According to Brad Wilmouth, Newsbusters, 65 House democrats have signed a letter to Holder saying they would actively oppose an effort to reinstate an assault weapons ban. Read more
‘Kangaroo-Court’ Hearing a One-Sided View of California Drought
March 31, 2009
Regulations Making Water Shortage Worse
Washington, D.C. – The U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources is holding a one-sided hearing this morning on the California drought that is expected to blame climate change for a critical water shortage while glossing over the role of activist-inspired environmental policies in exacerbating the shortage, according to The National Center for Public Policy Research.
The hearing, entitled “The California Drought: Actions by Federal and State Agencies to Address Impacts on Lands, Fisheries, and Water Users,” will be held today, March 31, at 10:30 am in Room 1324, Longworth House Office Building. Read more
NRA Files Complaint Against Washington, D.C. Gun Restrictions Laws
March 30, 2009
The District of Columbia continues to defy the ruling of the United States Supreme Court in the case of Heller v. D.C. In that case, the Supreme Court declared D.C.’s laws banning guns unconstitutional. This hasn’t stopped them, however, from creating “back door” laws making it virtually impossible and/or highly discriminatory, to own a gun.

Maine’s Anti Game Farm Bill, LD560, Dead
March 30, 2009
A bill in Maine that would have put an end to all game farms, including a handful that offer shooting opportunities, got killed in committee by a 12-0 vote – the vote for “ought not to pass”. Under Maine rules, a unanimous vote effectively kills the bill.
One member of the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee, Chairwoman Rep. Wendy Pieh, D-Bremen, was quoted as saying the following: Read more
Gates: U.S. Not Prepared to Respond to North Korea Missile Launch
March 30, 2009
The United States can do nothing to stop North Korea from breaking international law in the next 10 days by firing a missile that is unlikely to be shot down by the U.S. or its allies, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Sunday.
Appearing on “FOX News Sunday,” Gates said North Korea “probably will” fire the missile, prompting host Chris Wallace to ask: “And there’s nothing we can do about it?”
“No,” Gates answered, adding, “I would say we’re not prepared to do anything about it.” <<< read the rest >>>
The AfPaki Attack: Will Political Correctness Castrate it Before it Begins?
March 29, 2009
By Doug Giles
This past Friday Obama told the planet that he’s about to go medieval on al-Qaeda and the Taliban in a Full Monty AfPaki Attack. God, I hope so, both for our national security and for the sane Muslims who are sick of existing in squalor, blowing themselves up for a living, listening to clerics who are nuttier than squirrel turds, missing out on BLTs, and having their clitorises circumcised for “Allah.” If I were a Muslim chick and heard that a knife was destined to be on my naughty bits when I hit puberty, I’d start planning a Shawshank escape. Hey, teacher, leave that clitoris alone! I have two words for that smack: in sane. <<< read the rest >>>
Conservative Black Group Challenges Liberal Urban League’s “State of Black America 2009″ Report
March 27, 2009
“Harmful Recommendations,” “Dreary” Tone Among Criticisms
Washington, D.C. – This year’s edition of the liberal National Urban League’s annual State of Black America report fails to effectively challenge the Obama Administration, is unnecessarily dreary and makes recommendations that would be harmful, say members of the conservative Project 21 black leadership group.
“It is long past time that groups such the National Urban League should be given a pass as they blame poor personal decisions, lack of personal preparation and the realities of life on a phantom bogeyman of conspiratorial dictates designed to impede black progress,” said Project 21 Chairman Mychal Massie. “If they are going to point fingers, they should not exclude pointing fingers at themselves. They cannot claim 100 years of making a difference in the lives of blacks while simultaneously claiming that blacks aren’t succeeding as quickly as every other group of Americans.” Read more
Back on Uncle Sam’s Plantation
March 27, 2009
By Star Parker
Six years ago I wrote a book called “Uncle Sam’s Plantation.” I wrote the book to tell my own story of what I saw living inside the welfare state and my own transformation out of it.
I said in that book that indeed there are two Americas. A poor America on socialism and a wealthy America on capitalism.
I talked about government programs like Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Job Opportunities and Basic Skills Training (JOBS), Emergency Assistance to Needy Families with Children (EANF), Section 8 Housing, and Food Stamps. <<< read the rest of the story >>>
Wolf Wars Appear Eminent
March 25, 2009
Speaking of gray wolves in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming only, it now appears that wolf wars may be on the horizon. Sportsmen, ranchers, individuals, legislators and other rational thinking people are coming to the end of their ropes on this wolf issue. One item may have temporarily stemmed the tide – Obama’s announcement to proceed with removing federal protection of the wolf. How long will this put off the inevitable?
This means very little to most in the Northern Rockies who have been lied to in the past, promises made and promises reneged on. And now in some areas, sportsmen sit helplessly by as years of money and effort are being flushed down the drain as an unmanaged and out of control wolf pack destroys deer and elk herds. Read more

The “Green” Ball And Chain
March 22, 2009
For those of you who visit here regularly, you already know that Doug Giles is one of my favorite reality check writers. He has a way with words doesn’t he? I suppose what I like most is that he doesn’t tap dance around issues. He addresses them head on in language most of us can understand, yet done in a way that’s sure to upset the politically correct crowd. I like it. (Upsetting the PC crowd.)
Today Giles addresses the slavery that awaits us all with the green movement. Read more
