Not All Government Pork Is Nauseatingly Bad, Just Bad!

February 13, 2009

I hate government! There I took care of that. During this recent round of yelling and throwing things over a stimulus/spending/pork laden/porkulus/insert your own name bill, some attention was given to a part of that bill that would appropriate $30 million toward saving a little mouse. How ridiculous is that in time of such potential “catastrophe” of our economy and an “irreversible” depression that will sink us all, according to our fearless leader?

To what extent we should be protecting little mice, other rodents, insects, etc. will never be decided but there is one thing for certain. When our federal government extends its unconstitutional powers that render an American citizen’s land and property useless and sometimes forcing the person into dire financial difficulties, all for the purpose of saving a mouse, then government needs to pay for their actions. And yes I understand it’s taxpayer money and two wrongs don’t make a right but please. Read more

“Porkulus” Bill Sets Stage For Stripping Of Gun Rights?

February 12, 2009

Commentary

Buried deep within the hundreds of pages of the new spending bill just passed by the Senate, is a provision to create a National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. This person’s job will be to once and for all, collect the health records of every American and store it for easy access on one giant government database.

The bill also contains provisions to create a health board that ultimately will decide whether you deserve funding for your health problems. As we move closer to nationalized health care, in which the government will dole out the money for your treatment and decide if you should get it, combined with this giant database of health records, one panel of people appointed by the President of the United States will make all the determinations of your health care and management. Project 21 Chairman Mychal Massie Suggests Lawmakers Remove Radical Aspects from Final Package

Washington, D.C. – Mychal Massie, chairman of the Project 21 black leadership network, is condemning the 61-36 vote to pass the so-called “stimulus” spending bill in the U.S. Senate.

With the bill now proceeding to a conference committee with a radically-different version already passed in the House of Representatives in January, Massie is suggesting the most controversial aspects should be removed before it is returned for final approval by both chambers. Read more

Tired!!

Ah, yes! It’s that time again. So many thoughts pummeling this tired brain! Tired, yes, I’m tired. I’ve never been tired like this ever in my life. I’ve been tired from cross country skiing 30 kilometers but the recovery was sweet. No, this is a different tired. Some may say it’s because I’m pushing 57 but I don’t think so. 57 is young! I’m mentally tired. The brain is receptive to a constant bombardment of information but processing it into usable material is daunting. How do the masters do it? I’m anal, organized. For God’s sake I contemplate in what order I’ll dress myself in the mornings and trying to sort a steady diet of free flowing information is tiring. I’m learning. Read more

Black Activist Slams “Stimulus” Spending Making Billions Available to ACORN

February 10, 2009

Washington, D.C. – In the nearly trillion dollars in spending contained in the so-called “stimulus” bill the U.S. Senate is now considering are programs that could go into coffers of the left-wing group ACORN (the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now).

“It’s outrageous that potentially billions of taxpayer dollars may end up aiding a group instrumental in causing the economic crisis in the first place,” said Deneen Borelli, a fellow with the Project 21 black leadership network. Read more

Having Babies Is Killing Us All

February 9, 2009

The insanity continues in this country and I swear it is being drawn out due to Obamamania much in the same fashion as smelts are drawn to a bright light.

My God! Steven Kotler epitomizes the whacked out left’s obsession with stealing all our freedoms and the fear mongering of climate change. On a blog at Psychology Today, (they actually gave this guy ink for this), here’s some of his rant. (Speaking of Nadya Suleman, the woman who just gave birth to octuplets) Read more

Ken Blackwell On Supreme Court Appointments And Guns

February 9, 2009

Hearing the sad news that Justice Ginsburg is now fighting pancreatic cancer brings to the front of our thoughts that President Obama will, sooner or later, be appointing Supreme Courts justices and federal judges many times during his tenure. For conservatives, this is a frightening prospect. For power hungry, gun grabbing liberals, it’s dancing in the street time.

Ken Blackwell writes this morning at Townhall about what we might have to look forward to in an Obama pick to the United States Supreme Court. Read more

Slick Willie Supports New Effort To Ban Guns……Again!

February 8, 2009

Here’s a man who doesn’t know what the word “is” is and once again he is advocating to ban guns in America. Sounding like a parrot of Barack Obama, Clinton says this “great moment of opportunity” is a chance to ban guns. We can only assume that what Clinton means by “great moment of opportunity” is the love affair with Barack Obama where the sheep are willing to jump off the cliff for him.

According to the NRA, Clinton, meeting with the U.S. Conference of Mayors (huge anti-gun organization), told them that it would be nice if our children could once again walk down the street and not worry about “being mowed down by an assault weapon.” Read more

Black Small Business Owner Cautions Against “Stimulus”

February 7, 2009

Washington, D.C. – The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says the so-called stimulus bill would have a detrimental long-term effect on the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Commenting on this disturbing finding, a member of the Project 21 black leadership network who is also a small business owner is speaking out against the heavy-handed partisan strategy of White House and liberal congressional leaders to rush a vote on the earmark-laden legislation.

“There’s a difference between truly stimulating the economy and paying for pet projects that have languished for years. Read more

Defenders Of Wildlife Chief Schlickeisen Suggests CNN Film Aerial Wolf Killing

February 7, 2009

Do to a messed up schedule last night, I wasn’t able to catch the interview on Larry King with Ashley Judd and Defenders of Wildlife president Rodger Schlickeisen. I caught the very ending of the interview and heard Schlickeisen suggest to Larry King that CNN travel to Alaska and film the aerial shooting of wolves that is conducted by the Alaska fish and game department to protect other wildlife species including caribou and moose.

I am all for that. I think it’s a wonderful idea provided that in turn CNN take Ashley Judd and Rodger Schlickeisen with them and they go and film an abortion! Too bad they couldn’t have caught on film the recent abortion in Florida that was botched and the baby was born alive. It didn’t stop there though. The doctor (?) just scooped the baby, placenta, etc. into a garbage bag and let the baby bleed out through the umbilical until it was dead and he tossed it away.

We manage our populations of wildlife to conserve all species, so all will be healthy and thrive. And why do we kill unborn and now I guess new born babies?

Who is inhumane?

Ashley Judd To Be Idolized On Larry King

February 6, 2009

Here’s a copy of a letter supposedly written by Ashley Judd and posted on the Web seeking support for her campaign to bring down Sarah Palin. She will appear on the Larry King show tonight with Defenders of Wildlife president. Do you think Larry King will have anyone on to refute the senseless claims?

Here’s the letter and pay attention to how it is signed at the end. Read more
