Clearing Up The Confusion On The No-Energy Energy Bill
September 19, 2008
When the Senior Attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) –– the most prestigious of all anti-energy development lawsuit groups –– says he thinks Speaker Pelosi’s “offshore drilling” legislation is “a pretty good bill” that ought to raise some eyebrows don’t you think?
The fact that the Sierra Club endorsed Speaker Pelosi’s “offshore drilling” bill should be enough proof the bill is a sham and will never result in any new offshore development whatsoever.
The NRDC is far more clever than this bunch, however. In an effort to inject some more confusion over an issue the Democrat Leadership has already confused the public about, the NRDC parted ways with the Sierra Club and issued a statement opposing Speaker Pelosi’s “offshore drilling” bill.
If the NRDC is opposed, they must not have had a hand in writing it, right? And if this famous anti-energy lawsuit group is opposed, then logic dictates the Pelosi bill actually does give Americans access to the huge offshore energy resources they own, right?… WRONG.
Fortunately, not all of the NRDC staff got the memo…
On Fox News yesterday, Neil Cavuto asked the group’s Senior Attorney, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, how he felt about Speaker Pelosi’s [NO] Offshore Drilling legislation. His response?
“I think it’s a pretty good bill.”
I hope this clears up any confusion… The Drill Nothing Lawsuit Groups support Speaker’s Pelosi’s bill for the simple fact that it drills nothing.
Sincerely,
