UN warns of halting food distribution

April 23, 2008

UNAn interesting turn of events has been going on in the Middle East. The head of the United Nations relief operation in Gaza says Israel must supply gasoline immediately to the Gaza strip or the U.N. won’t be able to distribute aid to the residents living there. Apparently 860,000 of the 1.4 million folks living in Gaza receive aid from UNWRA, and another 270,000 are serviced by the U.N.’s World Food Program.
